New walking stories published here and there!
09 November 2015

I've written about a few new walks including a piece for the last issue of  Northwords Now (see pages 16-17) about the fabulous Corbenic Poetry Path near Dunkeld. This lyrical path is a wonderful experience in any season.

My latest essay for Walkhighlands is about an overnight equinoctial walk up Glen Almond and over to Comrie in which I go alone in order to reflect and forget to take some essential things (will I be able to eat?).

Don't miss out on your copy of Scottish Book Trust's free 'Journeys' book for Book Week Scotland at the end of November. I have a piece in it, 'Scent of the Moors', and there are some wonderful stories from established writers such as Andrew O'Hagan and Lucy Ribchester, as well as many previously unpublished writers. If you'd like to share Journeys with your community, workplace or reading group you can order a box of 50 to be delivered to you by looking at the Scottish Book Trust webpage above.
